3D filaments are printing materials that enable making. 3D printing is a task for patient people - it brings extraordinary satisfaction and effects that result not only from the high quality scanner, but also good quality of 3D materials. Aware of how important the material is, we have decided to organize and present the major 3D printing materials.

ABS

acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer


Description The most popular plastic in the world, commonly used for producing everyday objects that surround us everywhere.
Additional features
  • more toned, matte colors (before chemical treatment)
  • easy to treat
  • impact and scratch resistant

PLA

polylactide


Description Popular material used for rapid prototyping.
Additional features
  • intense colors
  • better print gloss
  • ecological (produced on the basis of maize flour, therefore, it ensures faster biological degradation)
  • more brittle (less durable than ABS)
  • suitable for contact with food
  • very easy to print

PET-G

polyethylene terephthalate with the admixture of glycol


Description

Durable and low-shrink material used, e.g. for large-size printouts.

Additional features
  • resistant to salts, acids, alkaline solutions and solvents
  • more durable than PLA and ABS
  • suitable for contact with food (FDA certified)
  • very good adhesion between layers

HIPS

Description The material is intended for prototypes that require high dimensional precision.

capacity. The most popular material for SLS printers

  • thick-walled objects have very high mechanical and chemical resistance (greater than ABS)
  • very durable (compared with aluminum)
  • difficult to print

Description Very durable and transparent material, durability comparable to aluminum. Very resistant to impacts and fractures.
